The world is full of hidden gems waiting to be discovered. And as travelers, it is our duty to seek out these hidden treasures and experience them before they become overrun with tourists. One such gem is the beautiful and untouched territory of North Korea. Yes, you read that right – North Korea.
With President Trump’s recent interest in the country, many are wondering if now is the time to sneak in a trip and explore this mysterious land. And that’s exactly what I did. I packed my bags and set off on a journey to North Korea, eager to see what this country had to offer.
As I landed in Pyongyang, the capital city of North Korea, I was immediately struck by the contrast between the bustling city and the serene countryside. The city was filled with grand buildings and monuments, all adorned with images of the country’s leaders. It was a sight to behold, and I couldn’t wait to explore more.

The tension in the air was palpable, but it was also a reminder of the importance of peace and diplomacy.
Another must-see destination in North Korea is Mount Paektu, the highest peak on the Korean Peninsula. The mountain is considered sacred by the North Korean people and is said to be the birthplace of their leader, Kim Jong-un. The views from the top were breathtaking, and I felt a sense of peace and tranquility that I had never experienced before.
But it wasn’t just the sights that made my trip to North Korea unforgettable. It was also the unique experiences that I had. I was able to attend a traditional Mass Games performance, a grand spectacle of dance, music, and acrobatics that showcased the country’s history and culture. I also had the opportunity to visit a local school and interact with the students, giving me a glimpse into the education system of North Korea.
Of course, traveling to North Korea does come with its challenges. The country has strict rules and regulations, and tourists are closely monitored by their guides. But for me, these challenges only added to the adventure and made the trip even more memorable.
As I reflect on my trip to North Korea, I can’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to explore a country that is largely untouched by tourism. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will never forget. And with President Trump’s interest in the country, now is the perfect time to visit before it becomes a popular tourist destination.
