Sheinbaum brings CATEM into the transformation process

The National Coordinator of the Transformation, Claudia Sheinbaum, has integrated the Confederation of Autonomous Workers and Employees of Mexico (CATEM) into her initiative to establish the CATEM Labor Defense Committees for the Fourth Transformation.

“I am thrilled to officially announce this significant coalition with the Confederation of Autonomous Workers and Employees of Mexico,” she remarked.

At the Arena Ciudad de México, the Morena party leader officially appointed over 10,000 members to the CATEM Labor Defense Committees for the Fourth Transformation, stressing that these committees aim to ensure workers have a dignified life.

Pedro Haces Barba, Senator of the Republic and Secretary General of CATEM, highlighted the labor achievements made under the Fourth Transformation, including increased wages, expanded vacation days, and the abolition of outsourcing.

“We are at a pivotal moment, which is why, at this congress, we reaffirm our commitment to the values of the Fourth Transformation, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum,” he stated.

In addition, Senator Ricardo Monreal underscored the necessity of maintaining a positive relationship between workers and the government, noting that this will help expand access to additional labor rights. Pedro Haces Barba Pedro Haces Barba
