Claudia Sheinbaum declared, “The welfare of Mexican workers is the welfare of our country.”

MEXICO.- Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, National Coordinator for the Defense of the Fourth Transformation, emphasized the importance of collaboration between workers and employers for the country’s well-being during the XV National Ordinary Congress of the Autonomous Confederation of Workers and Employees of Mexico (CATEM). She highlighted the need to expand labor rights and avoid regressing to the past.

In her address, Sheinbaum Pardo stressed that aligning goals and objectives is essential for maintaining the transformation of public life in Mexico. She asserted that the main focus must be on advancing the Fourth Transformation and preventing a return to an era of corruption and privilege.

After swearing in the first Labor Committees for the Defense of the Fourth Transformation of CATEM, Sheinbaum reaffirmed her commitment to ensuring a dignified life for workers, emphasizing the significance of collaboration between the labor and business sectors—a focus championed by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
