2 popular Westfield Old Orchard stores will soon move locations; opening timelines revealed

Westfield Old Orchard, one of the most popular shopping destinations on the North Shore, is undergoing a major transformation with the redevelopment of the former Lord & Taylor space. The mall has announced that two of its most beloved stores, Pottery Barn and ZARA, will be relocating and reopening in the newly revamped space. And that’s not all – the new development will also be home to a luxury apartment complex, a public park, and a variety of new retailers and restaurants. This exciting news has shoppers buzzing with anticipation.

The spokesperson for Westfield Old Orchard has confirmed that Pottery Barn, currently located on the west side of the mall, will be moving to the newly constructed space in the fall of 2024. This will be followed by ZARA, which will relocate its flagship store this spring. The third tenant, Arhaus, is set to open in mid-June, while the fourth tenant, indoor mini-golf and entertainment center Puttshack, will also be opening its doors this year. The exact timeline for Puttshack’s opening is yet to be announced.

The redevelopment of the Lord & Taylor space is part of a multi-phase development plan that was first announced in 2022. This plan aims to make Westfield Old Orchard the ultimate destination for living, working, shopping, and entertainment on the North Shore. And with the addition of the luxury apartment complex and public park, it’s clear that the mall is well on its way to achieving this goal.

The excitement for the redevelopment is not just limited to the relocation of beloved stores. The mall has recently welcomed a slew of new retailers, including Amour Vert, böhme, and Goyol Cashmere. These unique and trendy brands are sure to attract fashion-forward shoppers. And for those looking for a bite to eat, there are also new options such as Cafe Castemila and Cupitol (coming soon). With such a diverse mix of stores and restaurants, there’s something for everyone at Westfield Old Orchard.

But the redevelopment also marks the return of two old favorites – Victoria’s Secret/Pink, which closed its doors in 2020, and Barnes & Noble, which originally opened at the mall in 1994 but closed in 2021. The revival of these stores is a testament to the continued popularity of Westfield Old Orchard and its ability to adapt to the ever-changing retail landscape.

Of course, with any major development, there are also closures. The mall bid farewell to Gap and Gap Kids in 2023 and Bloomingdale’s in 2022. However, the latter has made a comeback in a smaller, more curated concept store called Bloomie’s. This new store offers a unique shopping experience and has quickly become a favorite among shoppers.

As Westfield Old Orchard continues to evolve, it remains committed to providing a top-notch shopping experience for its visitors. The mall’s dedication to staying ahead of the curve has led to the addition of many new and exciting stores, making it a must-visit destination for fashion enthusiasts. And with its convenient location and beautiful surroundings, it’s no wonder that Westfield Old Orchard is the go-to spot for both locals and tourists.

In conclusion, the redevelopment of Lord & Taylor at Westfield Old Orchard has brought about a wave of change and excitement. With the relocation of Pottery Barn and ZARA, the addition of new retailers and restaurants, and the development of a luxury apartment complex and public park, the mall is well on its way to becoming the ultimate destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment on the North Shore. So mark your calendars and get ready to experience the new and improved Westfield Old Orchard!
