Analyst Says 1 NFL Team Firing Their Coach Would Be A ‘Bad Look’

The New England Patriots are facing a bit of a crossroads right now.

On the one hand, they could try to trade Bill Belichick, but he might not be on board with stripping draft picks from the team he’s supposed to be coaching next.

On the other, they could fire him, but financial issues aside, it might not be a good look for them, at least according to former Super Bowl champion Greg Jennings.

Talking on The Carton Show, the former wide receiver stated that you simply cannot fire the greatest coach of all time; it’s a matter of optics.

Then again, that might also send a stern message, with Robert Kraft letting everybody know that no one is safe because the Patriots are a winning organization and he won’t tolerate anything but greatness.

“You’re not firing Bill Belichick if you’re Robert Kraft. That would just be a bad look. You don’t fire the greatest coach to ever do it,” Jennings said.

It’s not like he hasn’t given Belichick an opportunity to continue building his legacy in Foxboro.

It’s been four years since he lost Tom Brady, and he’s been wrong about a lot of decisions he’s made, whether it’s regarding personnel, scouting, drafting, trades, or free agency.

In all fairness, Belichick might be the greatest coach in the history of the game, but he also has struggled since Brady’s departure.

The Patriots need a change of culture, and no one, not even the legendary Bill Belichick, should be above an organization.

It was an incredible run, the best ever, but all things eventually have to come to an end.
