NFL legend Shannon Sharpe is one of the biggest winners of the year.
He bet on himself and agreed to a contract buyout with FOX Sports to stop working alongside Skip Bayless, who had disrespected him multiple times.
He took his podcast to The Volume and teamed up with Stephen A. Smith to join “First Take,” beating “Undisputed” and his former co-host in ratings by a landslide.
Winners win, and Sharpe did plenty of winning during his days as a player.
That’s why he wants to keep that same competitive mindset now in this next endeavor of his career.
With that in mind, he made it loud and clear that he intends to be the best-dressed member of “First Take” next year, going as far as to make it his New Year’s resolution.

Well, that’s something you can afford when you’re already rich, successful, and beloved.
There’s always something you can work on to get better at, but if you’re Shannon Sharpe, you’re pretty good at most things already.
All jokes aside, Sharpe has become one of the most respected and beloved figures in the sports landscape, and he’s brought a knowledgeable approach to “First Take,” which the fans will always appreciate.
He continues to rise to prominence in the sports broadcast and analysis business, and while he’ll always be thankful to Bayless for giving him the platform and the opportunity, it became loud and clear that he had already outgrown him and it was time to spread his wings.
Now, will he fulfill this resolution?
We’ll have to tune in and watch.
