Chris Russo Had A Message For Stephen A. Smith While Hosting ‘First Take’

With Stephen A. Smith out on vacation, ESPN had to make sure the ratings for “First Take” didn’t take a dip, especially at this crucial point in the NFL season.

That’s why they decided to bring in the big names, asking Christopher “Mad Dog” Russo to take over in the meantime.

Needless to say, Smith didn’t care for the fact that Mad Dog took the liberty of sitting in his chair, which is why he took to Twitter to let him know he was ready to unleash upon him once he came back.

True to form, Mad Dog wasn’t intimidated by the challenge, and he reminded Smith of how the great Lou Gehrig replaced Wally Pipp in the New York Yankees lineup before becoming a legend (via First Take).

Even so, Smith can rest assured that Mad Dog is no Lou Gehrig, and he’s at no risk whatsoever of losing his job against him.

Stephen A. Smith is the one and only undisputed sports pundit on ESPN, and he’s going to get right back to his place as soon as his vacation is over.

In the meantime, it’ll be interesting to see whether Russo can keep up with the rest of his debate partners who will be looking to gain an edge with Smith out.
